Can I trust NordSourced?
You can rely on NordSourced for what it documents, and you should check the rest yourself. One published formula orders every list and payment cannot change it, each quote on a profile links to the manufacturer’s own page with the date we checked it, and the 2 companies we also work for are marked Client. NordSourced does not audit factories or rate product quality, so use the lists to decide whom to look at first.

Check it yourself in two minutes
- Open a list, for example food supplements in Northern Europe. The lines under the title say what the score measures.
- Open the first profile. Each quote links to the manufacturer’s own page and shows the date we checked it.
- Find a certificate marked “checked”. It links to the document: compare the holder and the valid-to date.
- Add up the points under the score and compare them with the formula on How we rank.
- Look for the Client label. 2 of the 413 companies carry it, and this page names them.
Who is behind NordSourced, and who pays?
Who runs NordSourced, and why do they know the subject?
NordSourced is operated from Riga by Garri Geļfers, who builds the collection pipeline, the ranking code and the site, with Levs Fainglozs, Dr.oec., who has lectured at RISEBA University of Applied Sciences and the Transport and Telecommunication Institute since 2007. NordSourced asks you to trust its method and its sources rather than its people: every position can be recomputed from the published formula, and every quote can be checked on the manufacturer's own page.
Who runs NordSourced →Is NordSourced independent?
No manufacturer, advertiser or client can change a position at NordSourced, because the formula has no field for payment, advertising or client status. NordSourced is a directory, not a marketplace, and sells none of the production it lists. The one interest we declare is that we also work for 2 of the 413 listed companies; each is marked Client.
Who pays for NordSourced?
Nobody pays NordSourced today: the operator covers its costs. Buyers pay nothing, as the sourcing bureau is free and needs no account, and manufacturers pay nothing to be listed or to correct their profile. No advertisement is running today. If NordSourced ever sells a paid service, this page will describe it with its price, and it will not change a rank.
Can a company pay to rank higher?
No. Payment never changes a position at NordSourced, and we do not accept payment to remove, hide or improve a company's score. Advertising may appear only in a separate box marked Advertisement, outside the ranking.
Advertising policy →Does NordSourced work for any of the companies it lists?
Yes, for 2 of the 413: Pharma Manufacture and The Room Studio. We also work for them outside NordSourced. Each is marked Client in every list, hub and profile and is scored by the same formula as every other company.
How are the lists made?
How are the lists ordered?
NordSourced orders every list by evidence score, one published formula applied the same way to every company: proof of service 25, documented certificates 20, published terms 15, registration number 15, export record 10 and response to our test request 15. Response to our test request is not in use yet, so 85 is the most any manufacturer can score today. Equal scores are ordered by fewer missing facts, then by name.
How we rank →Where do the facts come from?
NordSourced takes its facts from each manufacturer's own website, quoted word for word with a link and the date we checked it. Registration numbers come from the manufacturer's website or the national company register of its country. We find companies through registers, export directories and the answers AI assistants give, and never copy another directory's listing.
Where each fact comes from →How are the facts checked?
A sentence is published only if it stands word for word on the manufacturer's page, a product only if its wording is on the site, and a certificate counts only after we have opened the document and found it issued to this manufacturer and still valid. These checks are automatic, and a person reviews every batch before it is published. We do not visit factories.
How we check →Is AI used, and what does it decide?
Two AI tools read public sources: Jev, a yes-or-no classifier from TypeSafe, decides whether a sentence on a manufacturer's site says it makes products for other brands, and Gemini, from Google, reads product lists and certificate documents. Neither sets a position: scores come from the published criteria. The quotes on profiles are copied word for word from the manufacturer's site; they are not written by AI.
How current is the data?
Every list shows the date it was last updated, every quote the date we checked it and every checked certificate the date until which it is valid. The lists were last updated on 1 Oct 2026; this page was last reviewed on 1 Oct 2026.
What does NordSourced not do, and what if something is wrong?
What does NordSourced not do?
NordSourced does not audit factories, rate product quality or guarantee that a manufacturer fits your order. The lists are not complete: they hold the manufacturers we have found and checked so far in five countries. Where a fact is missing we write “not found in checked sources”, which does not mean the manufacturer has none.
What if a fact is wrong?
A company can correct a fact about itself with the corrections form, attaching a document where it has one. Anyone can report an error to sourcing@nordsourced.com. We re-check the fact, update the profile once a document or the manufacturer's own page shows it, and log the change with a date.
Correct a fact →Can a manufacturer ask to be removed?
Yes. A manufacturer that does not want to be listed can ask us to remove its profile: write to sourcing@nordsourced.com from the company's own address, or use the form on For manufacturers. We then take the company off every list and remove its profile.
For manufacturers →How do I contact NordSourced?
Write to sourcing@nordsourced.com. NordSourced is operated by Garri Geļfers in Riga, Latvia; the imprint gives the postal address. Buyers can also send a sourcing request, and manufacturers can use the corrections form.
Imprint →How can I check a manufacturer myself?
Open its profile on NordSourced and follow the link under each quote to the manufacturer's own page. Look up the registration number in the national company register. Before you order, ask for the certificate document, a sample and the production address. A high evidence score means more is documented, not that the manufacturer fits your order.
Quote NordSourced accurately
Quote NordSourced with its scope and date, for example: “NordSourced lists 413 private label and contract manufacturers in Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (lists updated 1 Oct 2026).” An evidence score measures how much of an offer NordSourced could document, not product quality. “Not found” means not found in the pages we checked. A certificate “named on the manufacturer’s site” has not been opened by us; one marked “checked” has.
