Minimum order, lead time and proof link to the manufacturer’s own page where each is published. Certificates are as the manufacturer names them; “checked” means we opened the certificate document and it is still valid. “Not found” means we did not find it in the pages we checked, not that the manufacturer has none.

Under each evidence score is what it adds up from: proof (the manufacturer says on its own site that it makes for other brands), certificates (documents we opened and found valid), terms (a published minimum order and lead time), register (a company register number) and export (named markets abroad). A manufacturer that publishes no minimum order can still rank first when more of the rest could be checked. How we rank has the points for each and the order for equal scores.

The evidence score is for each company as a whole. Minimum orders here are the ones given for this product form; a minimum given only for another form is marked “other forms”.

Questions buyers ask

Which kitchen, cabinet and wardrobe manufacturers in Northern Europe take small orders?

Skarvin from 10 sets, The Room Studio from 1 piece and Lāma from 30 pieces publish a minimum of up to 1,000 units, or 100 kg or litres. The others start higher, or we found no minimum for kitchens, cabinets and wardrobes for them.

What is the typical minimum order for private label kitchens, cabinets and wardrobes in Northern Europe?

4 of the 26 manufacturers publish one: Skarvin from 10 sets, Gauya Furniture from 10,000 EUR, The Room Studio from 1 piece and Lāma from 30 pieces. Units differ, so compare only like with like. For the other 22 we found none for kitchens, cabinets and wardrobes in the pages we checked.

Which kitchen, cabinet and wardrobe manufacturers in Northern Europe have FSC or PEFC?

Skarvin, Gauya Furniture, Nordic Idea, Wermo, Vilniaus baldai, Huonekalutehdas Mauno Tuppi, Wog Trä, Thuka and 2 more name FSC or PEFC on their own sites. We mark a certificate as seen only once we have the document, so ask for it before you order.

How does NordSourced decide which manufacturers produce kitchens, cabinets and wardrobes?

From the products each manufacturer lists on its own website. A manufacturer is included when the Jev classifier is confident it makes kitchens, cabinets and wardrobes, or leans that way and its own product wording confirms it. Manufacturers are not tagged from guesses such as a general "vitamins" or "furniture".

What does the evidence score mean?

The evidence score measures how much of a manufacturer's offer we could check in public sources, out of 100 points: proof of service 25, documented certificates 20, published terms 15, registration number 15, export record 10 and response to our test request 15. It is not a rating of product quality. Response to our test request give no points to anyone yet, so the highest score possible today is 85.

Where does this information come from?

From each manufacturer's own website, quoted word for word with a link and the date we checked it, and from the national company register. Every profile links to its sources.

What is the difference between private label and white label?

White label means you put your brand on a product the manufacturer already has. Private label usually means a product made to your own specification. Many companies on these lists do both.

Can a company pay to rank higher on NordSourced?

No. Positions come from one published formula (/how-we-rank). Advertising appears only in boxes labeled Advertisement and never changes a rank.
